Thank you to all who support this event. We hope to see you there!
We welcome sponsors and other contributions, as well as raffle prize and tapas donations. We love getting to promote our whole village this way. Together, we light up Northport!
A CELEBRATION OF
LOCAL ART AND ARTISTS
Twenty-one years ago, the Mayor of Northport was visiting the proprietors of The Northport Hardware Company. Together, they stumbled upon an old gag gift. Laughing, they stuck it in the front window, and gave it an honorary salute.
From that quirky moment, the Northport Leg Lamp Lighting has grown to become a beloved community celebration of local talent, small-town charm, and our village’s unique ability to unite over something delightfully whimsical to create something truly spectacular.
The event is freely offered by local performing artists and made possible by the Village and folks who love it. Due to the need for professional AV and other concerns, it costs thousands of dollars to present this show. We hope you will join us in supporting this decades-old community tradition. We also hope you will support the Island Harvest essentials drive!
It Takes a Village
This annual Small Business Saturday event draws roughly 1,500 people to Main Street. Your support helps cover event costs like professional lighting and sound. Any proceeds then feed our Firefly Lights Fund, enhancing future events and funding local sponsorships and scholarships.
