Event information
In the last gasp of spring as it melts into summer, we will host a very cool solo show. Robert Bellassai’s process starts with flowers encased in ice. The results are exquisite. Come see.
On View: June 5 through June 18
Reception: June 7, 2–4 PM
About Robert Bellassai: Bellassai’s passion for abstract, landscape, still life and portrait photography were sparked by his dad at the age of about 10 years old. Dad was a Canon shooter; a hobbyist photographer who also developed black and white film images in the basement of their Queens, New York home.
As a photographer, Bellassai’s images are bold and dramatic to emphasize not just the subject but the entire scene. This is achieved through careful composition and use of color saturation, contrast and tone to capture the moment into art!
The photography process uses additive coloring, ambient & artificial light to create dramatic images capturing color, depth, contrast, drama and perspective with little to no photographic post processing of the image.
The photographic journey is fun and inspiring, with focus on continuous improvement of craft to bring viewers of these works memorable images that capture the moment in time an artistic form.
Bellassai has had exhibitions at Foto-Foto Fine Art Gallery, D. Valez Art Gallery, Sidewalk Alley Art & Framing, Comsewogue Public Library. He sells his work on FineArtAmerica.com
